When Foodies Fail – My not-so-super SuperBowl Party

by Julie on February 6, 2013

I heard on the radio that more food is consumed in American on SuperBowl Sunday than on any other day of the year with the exception of Thanksgiving.  Therefore, it could be said that the SuperBowl Party should be like a Mecca for foodies.  It should be an opportunity to wow your guests (or at least your spouse/significant other) with your culinary creations.

Of course if you are unsure of what to make then Pinterest is a great place to go to brainstorm ideas.  I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to finger foods that would be perfect for a Superbowl Party.

Finger Foods

Doesn’t that all look yummy?

Well, this year we had none of that.  Instead, we had a sad plate of corn chips sprinkled with cheese and called it nachos.

Yup, I forgot it was SuperBowl Sunday.

My beloved Patriots got defeated in the AFC Championship game sending the Ravens to the SuperBowl instead and I just lost interest.

I really didn’t care about the SuperBowl this year.  So as I type this post, my husband sits, watching the game, eating a sad plate of sorry looking “nachos”.
